The Hotel

Although I had the pleasure of staying at the stunning Plaza Athénée, I couldn’t resist trying the breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel. This hotel is equally impressive, boasting impeccable service and three Michelin-starred restaurants. Originally opened in 1928 and located in the chic 8th arrondissement, the Four Seasons is a true Parisian icon. Yet, from the moment you step inside, it becomes evident that tradition here is balanced with modern flair. The grand, gilded entryway and the courteous, efficient staff create a classic ambiance, but the contemporary touches keep the atmosphere fresh. A standout example is the dramatic floral installations by renowned florist and designer Jeff Leatham, which may feature cascading blooms in spring or a striking plexiglass reindeer during winter.

The Menu

I opted for the buffet breakfast, allowing me the freedom to sample a variety of offerings. Of course, there were plenty of additional options to order from the menu, so I indulged in the Eggs Benedict with salmon and some refreshing healthy smoothies. The service was flawless, and the food quality was exceptional. While I wouldn’t say it surpassed other five-star hotels I’ve visited, the ambiance, coupled with the stunning floral displays, truly elevated the experience, making it an unforgettable breakfast.

The quality of food

Without a doubt, the breakfast was exceptional. I enjoyed perfectly crafted Eggs Benedict, paired with freshly squeezed smoothies. The croissants were simply outstanding—some of the best I’ve ever had. The combination of top-tier cuisine and the breathtaking setting made for a breakfast experience that was truly unforgettable and unique.

Service level

The experience was truly remarkable from start to finish. I was consistently looked after with every aspect thoughtfully considered. The staff were not just warm but also exceptionally attentive, perfectly reflecting the caliber expected from a world-class hotel. Their care and efficiency made every part of the meal seamless and enjoyable, creating an outstanding, top-tier breakfast experience.

Conclusion

Whenever you find yourself in Paris and want to treat yourself to an unforgettable breakfast experience, I highly recommend booking a table at the legendary Four Seasons Hotel George V. From the moment you step into the elegant dining room, you’ll be enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and refinement that perfectly complements the city’s sophisticated charm. The breakfast itself is a masterpiece, offering a wide array of exquisitely prepared dishes made from the finest ingredients, each served with impeccable attention to detail.

What sets the experience apart, however, is not just the food but the overall ambiance. Whether you’re seated in the courtyard garden or inside surrounded by lavish decor, every moment feels like a special occasion. The impeccable service further elevates the experience, with staff attending to your every need with warmth and grace. Of course, such a luxurious breakfast comes with a price tag, but for a treat like this, it’s undeniably worth it.

As a hotel that sits high on many travelers’ bucket lists, the Four Seasons George V certainly lives up to the hype. The flawless combination of exceptional service, a stunning setting, and a beautifully crafted breakfast menu makes it a truly memorable experience. This is why I confidently bestow my *Excellent Choice* award on this Parisian gem—an experience that is every bit as extraordinary as the city itself.
