Breakfast at Atlantis The Royal was one of the pleasures of my stay. I already mentioned it in my hotel review, but the choice, the quality and the attention to service deserve more space. For me, this is a breakfast to make time for.
A proper part of the stay
I like a hotel breakfast that gives the morning a sense of occasion. It does not need to be elaborate every day, but when I am staying somewhere as ambitious as Atlantis The Royal, I enjoy seeing that ambition carried through to the table.
What stood out in my stay was the combination of an impressive international selection and the feeling that the details mattered. Breakfast was not merely a practical stop before going out. It became one of the experiences I wanted to highlight when writing about the hotel, alongside its rooms, dining and pool facilities.
The buffet: room to choose
The selection ranged from fresh pastries and fruit to made-to-order eggs, with more indulgent possibilities including seafood and gourmet cheeses. I loved having that breadth of choice. It allows breakfast to suit the mood of the morning rather than requiring everyone to want the same kind of meal.
For me, the pleasure of a generous buffet is not trying absolutely everything. I prefer to look around first, find what really appeals and enjoy a few things properly. That is the approach I would take here: give yourself time to choose, rather than turning the variety into a challenge.
Gastronomy is the hotel’s international buffet venue, and the current breakfast offering continues that broad approach. I would check the latest menu and arrangements before a new visit, but it is the generosity of choice during my own stay that earns this category a 10/10.
The quality of the food
A large selection only matters to me when the food itself makes me want to return to the table. In my hotel review, I described the breakfast as amazing, and I still want that enthusiasm to come through here. The combination of familiar breakfast favourites and more indulgent options was a real strength.
I particularly appreciate a spread that leaves space for both a lighter start and something more generous. Fruit and pastries have their place; made-to-order eggs give another direction. I do not need breakfast to follow the same pattern every morning, and that flexibility is part of why I enjoyed the offering so much.
My food score is 9/10. That is a strong endorsement without suggesting that every single item has been individually assessed or that an extensive buffet must be perfect in every respect. What matters to me is the overall quality of the breakfast experience.
Service & the pace of the morning
The attentive service was already one of the points I praised in my original Atlantis The Royal review. At breakfast, that matters just as much as the food. I want the morning to feel considered, with hospitality that helps me settle into the day.
My preference is to leave enough time to enjoy it. I would not plan a breakfast like this immediately before a rushed departure if I could avoid it. Part of the pleasure is being able to sit, talk and make another choice because something appeals, rather than watching the clock throughout.
Value & my verdict
This sits firmly at the luxury end of breakfast, so I would check what is included in my room booking or the current price for a separate visit. My assessment of value depends on the occasion: a leisurely breakfast that becomes part of the holiday means more to me than a quick coffee and something eaten on the way out.
My overall score is 9.1/10. The selection is the exceptional category, supported by strong food and service scores. I would make time for this breakfast during a stay at Atlantis The Royal, especially on a morning with no urgent plans. It is a generous, enjoyable start to the day, and one of the details that helped make my hotel experience feel special.
